We had a long three weeks of vacation after our half-term exams, also known as the Common Tests. Once school starts again. I'm certain the teachers will immediately present us with our marks. For some, this will definitely bring some joy (for those who did well), or some great amount of sorrow (for those who didn't do well). I am definitely the latter.
Though I refuse to admit it, or even think about it, I know that I'm not gonna do well.
Perhaps if I'm lucky, I'll get a pass in all the subjects, I hope I do.
It's not a question about how much I studied, because I've put a 100% into studying, and I still end up doing horrible. And every single exam, I tell myself, just try a little harder, push yourself a little bit more.Even a loser's got hopes.
........But I'm so tired of trying
How many times do I have to fight this battle until I can win?
I used to do really well in secondary school, I could keep studying and studying and studying and I would never get tired. But I guess the really long break after the olevels got the better of me and I lost my focus. And since then, I've not been able to put in as much effort as I used to.
However, even thought I am bone-tired of trying, there's something else that's got me back on my feet, and preparing for battle.
I love the spotlight. I relish being the centre of attention. The absolute best at everything.
I miss the number one spot. And I want it back.
This time, I will not make that same mistake again. This time, you better be watching your back before I blind you.
Well, all that might sound a little tad narcissistic, but haven't you heard? I'm the crazy bitch around here. I've done it before, but obviously you missed it, so let's watch me do it again.
I shine better than you. And that's final.
Bye minions.
Let the screaming begin.
