Me? A Polyglot?

According to Wikipedia, a polyglot is a person who can master numerous languages, often five or more.

To date, I can speak 4 official languages and 1 dialect. This includes English, Mandarin, Korean, Japanese and Teochew. Which makes a total of 5 different languages. Leading me to conclude that I am indeed a polyglot. Not to mention, I am currently in the process of mastering Latin.

In the near future, I might just be introducing myself as a polyglot. Why hide my linguistic talent?
I know this all seems extremely egotistical, but spend some time with me and you will soon find that I am a complete egomaniac. But don't you agree it's pretty cool to have such a fancy title?

Oh The Excitement !

I'm just left with one exam on Monday, and then it's the start of my 7 weeks of school break !! HOLLA.
There are so many exciting things coming up in the holidays: I will be going to the movie theaters to catch Percy Jackson and The Mortal Instruments both these movies I have been extremely looking forward to. And I will also be going to Malacca for a little R&R with my family. I'm hoping to do some shopping while I'm there. For me, a trip is not complete without some shopping. And speaking of shopping, hopefully the new bag that I ordered online will arrive soon, I really want to bring it with me when I go on my trip.
However, this school break is not all fun and relaxation, I will also be using my holidays to give my room a new revamp. I know I just gave my room a new revamp like 3 months ago but since the last one, things have accumulated and my room's become a tad too cluttered for my liking. Especially my accessories area, I need to get a proper display to store my necklaces because they've been lying around and I'm pretty sure I've lost a few because I couldn't remember where I put them.

I did a pre-reservation for the new Dan Brown book Inferno at the library and I am currently 39th in line. I have been waiting for a very long time because the book came out 2 months ago and I have yet to read it. But I know it's probably worth the wait because I've read all the other books Dan Brown has published and they did not disappoint me, Digital Fortress is my favourite to date. I hope it reach my turn soon so I can read it during the holidays, but if I get too impatient I think I'll just go out and buy the book instead of waiting to borrow it at the library.

Next Tuesday I will be attending the Etude House Play Party event at Marina Bay Sands. I am very very excited because there's going to be a fun interactive session. (I think they'll be giving out makeup products because after all, Etude House is a makeup brand. Ooh !!) And you know what's the best part ? SHINee's going to be there ! They are one of the most popular Korean pop groups and to be able to meet them is a dream come true for me.

That is all I have for this wonderful post ! Toodles

Kardashian

I know I've mentioned before that I don't know why I chose this diploma course, and if you're thinking "That can't be true." I'm here to sway your opinion. Let me bring to your attention that half a year ago, I still felt that my life's goal is to be a Kardashian... or a lawyer. But here I am, in Biologics feeling a whole lot like Alice. Instead of this being Wonderland, it sure feels a whole lot more like the Underground. Not Australia Underground. But, you know, underground as in under the ground, Hell.

I can't bring myself to go on with this dreary topic, so I'm gonna talk about something else now.

The next episode of ANTM (America's Next Top Model) has the Kardashians ! Awesome ! Well, not Khloe, Kim or Kourtney but Kris Jenner and KENDALL AND KYLIE ! Which is even better because I love Kendall & Kylie, they're so cool and their style is fantabulous.
I'm still at ANTM Cycle 18, which is super behind time but I didn't watch the first few episodes. I watched the last few though, so I know Sophie won. I'm so glad it was her, because she seems really nice and not stuck-up and snooty like the rest of them. Yay Sophie !

Chloe's Pet Peeves

I hate people who push and push in the trains. There's no space for you, means there's NONE. It's not as if the pushing is gonna give you more space, cos everybody else is already so cramped up. So stop pushing everybody else, it makes me wanna hit you.

I hate people who walk and sms/play games on their phones at the same time. It's so annoying when you're rushing and this idiotic goon walks like a turtle infront of you trying to clear the next level of Candy Crush.
And it's even more annoying when somebody walks into you because they were too busy looking at their phones to pay attention to their surroundings. I hate people like that, and I seriously feel like snatching their phones and throwing it in the hopes that their precious phones would shatter.

There was once I went on Instagram and I so this fool posting a photo with the completely unrelated caption "I mean, you're welcome" This person probably thought that line from Pitch Perfect was some dope new slang or lingo or something. Well it's NOT. The line was used in the context of that situation, the situation of which requires it. It's NOT a new kind of lingo ! Really makes me question if this person has a brain.

Press

I created a website for myself. Not really sure why I needed a website, but well, I felt that it's something fun to try out. It has a cool layout and everything, snazzy transitions and a whole lot of pink. A significant part of it is still blank, notably my Biography section because I didn't feel my 18 years of life had anything vaguely interesting to it, but I'll figure something out, eventually.

This is my updates page. I like it a lot because you can see all my latest social networking updates and see my Instagram updates, my Twitter updates and the posts I have here on my blog. It's everything on one page. (Gosh, I sound like a commercial)

This is my Gallery. This is where I'll be uploading some interesting moments I encounter in my life.
You can hover your cursor over the photos and it gives you a short insight into what happened in that moment, details about the photo etc.

So yeah, this has been a post entirely dedicated to my new website. Click the link below to check it out in all it's glory.

I'm working on getting www.chngyi.com registered to my website, and it's taking a lot than I thought. But my own personal domain should be ready soon. I'm also gonna be posting my music compositions so you can go and check it out if you wanna.

Okeydokey. Peace out girl scouts.

Updates 3rd August

Hi, I'm back for an update today.

The first part of my finals are over, and I finally have time to take a break. Before the second part of my finals kick in, I plan to use this break to read some books or watch a couple of movies, giving myself and my brain some rest, in order to get revitalized in time for the second part of the battle. I had very little sleep in the first part of exam preparation, so this will be a good time for me to make up for all the sleep I lack. A few days of nothing but R&R, perfecto

Two days ago, I went and got my hair colored again. I was going for a complete ginger do, but as my hair is dark-based, to get the bright orange color (ie. Ron Weasley's hair color) to show up well, my hair had to bleached. But I decided to forgo the bleaching because I do not feel that it's good for my hair. So my hair turned out to be slightly red under normal lighting, but more orange in bright lights or under the sun.

Yesterday I went out with the clique. In the morning, Tatiana and I went shopping at Bugis. I only bought 1 item, which I'm very proud of myself for. I saw so many things that I liked, but I refrained for purchasing them because the item that I had bought is a pair of shoes which cost $25. That was a lot to spend on one item only, so I decided not to buy anything else. The pair of shoes I got are a pair of Doc Marten dupes and they're in the floral pattern. In the evening we met with the rest of the girls, Chinghui, Asyikhin and Nayli, at The Roti Prata House. We finally got to have dinner together, and my craving for chocolate prata was finally satisfied.

On my current economic situation, my ship is sinking again. There are so many things I've got my eye on and walking away from them is getting increasingly difficult. After I've gotten home, I would feel sad about not buying those items because I like them so much. I feel all rotten inside because I'm dying to go back to the store and buy the item. If you've never had shopoholism, this is what is feels like. I am the prime example of a shopaholic. I shop and buy a ton of items, and when I try to stop, it feels horrible. It's like a drug addiction, instead I'm addicted to clothes and shoes.

But I'm trying my very best to resist these temptations. Even though it's taking a lot of effort out of me to not think about shopping. I will still try my very best, because I'm not a quitter and I don't like failing. I know I can turn back into my normal self instead of being a crazy shopaholic. I can and I will. Have some faith in me, I could use a little faith.

That is all I have for updates today, I will be back with more tomorrow night.
